H on the Harbor in Port Washington VENUES

Yesterday I attended a beautiful second-wedding ceremony and reception (congratulations, Marty and Tama!!) at a new-to-me venue — H on the Harbor, in Port Washington.    This intimate venue is suitable for events for up to 175 guests and it includes a working fireplace, maple hardwood floors, 12′ ceilings, soft white walls with white silk & walnut accents.  But for me, the food’s the thing and this is where H on the Harbor really excels.  My friend’s wedding took place early — Sunday at 11:30.   And in keeping with the informality of the day/time, we were served cocktails and a grazing menu, which means basically non-stop passed hors devours — each and every one a culinary treat.

Aside from the amazing food, one of the things I really like about this as a wedding venue for Long Island brides and grooms is that there is a lot of flexibility in terms of style and decor.   You can create a traditional ambiance with seating for guests around round tables, or set it up as a modern lounge with furniture rental and special lighting.   Of course, there are a number of in-between options.

Have you looked at H on the Harbor, or attended an event there?  Let us know about your experience…
