Jennifer Cohen – celebrity trainer, fitness authority, TV personality and best-selling author – is engaged.  And now, the trainer from The CW’s couples health transformation show “Shedding for the Wedding” – will be doing some shedding for her own.  Jennifer shares with us a few fitness tips that she’s actually doing herself, to prepare for her own wedding:

Wear sunscreen SPF 15 or higher whenever you spend time outside. A sunburn makes the next workout harder than it has to be!

Drink water before you feel thirsty; at least 15-20 minutes before starting your workout, and after every 15 minutes during the workout.

Sweat doesn’t tell you how hard you’re working;  try using a  heart rate monitor to make your workout the most efficient and effective possible by  staying 70-80% in your target heart rate zone.

Try and cut down on sugars and watch your calorie intake.

Take advantage of the nice weather and be active with friends. Take a long walk or go for a swim instead of just sharing a meal together.
