If you planned your first Long Island wedding years and years ago, you may recall what a time consuming project it became. Unfortunately, planning a wedding these days, as any first-time-bride can attest to, is not any easier. In fact, second time brides have a great deal to consider when it comes to wedding planning — children, perhaps yours and his; many extended family members; what to wear (white wedding gown or something altogether different?), and other such issues. UGH! Wish I’d seen this about 9 months ago!! My wedding is in a month! Some of it is still helpful, though. Thanks for posting this!!

Thank you so much for posting this! I am a divorce marrying a widower. It’s a difficult situation, at best.
While I was initially disappointed to see this link NOW (we are getting married in one month from today), among other resources on this site is a link for Julie Donner Andersen, a woman who married a widower and has published a book, blogs and other resources for those of us who love men who have loved before and continue to do so.
This website will be invaluable for our last minute details, anything we can “clean up” that we have not done right, and anything we have forgotten. With the link to Julie Donner Andersen’s site, I think it will also provide a lot of assistance as we move forward in our marriage.
Good luck to all other second marriagers. For those who have been divorced, Congratulations! I hope you have done the work and feel so fortunate to have found the RIGHT one this time – as I have. For those of you who are renewing vows, congratulations and best wishes for continued happiness. For those of you who are widows or widowers starting again (as is my future husband), I wish you wonderful memories of your past but a love that will enable you to move forward in happiness in your new life with your new partner.
