Christie Brinkley Donates Wedding Ensemble CELEBRITY WEDDINGS on LONG ISLAND
Long Island resident supermodel Christie Brinkley has auctioned off the wedding ensemble worn for her fourth wedding – a white, Giorgio Armani floor length skirt and jacket – to raise money for the Red Cross’ Haiti earthquake relief effort. The suit was auctioned off on the website ClothesoffourBack earlier this month. There were five bids, the winning one going at $775.
Normally, this would not have made the news, but — her ex-husband Peter Cook (remember him?) had this to say to RadarOnline.com: “Why would anyone want to buy a wedding dress from someone who has failed at marriage four times?” Cook told RadarOnline.com, with more than a hint of sarcasm. ‘That would be like choosing the 1976 winless Tampa Bay Bucaneeers as your ultimate fantasy football team.”
This is the man who was married to Brinkley for twelve years, had a child with her, was step-father to her children, then was caught cheating with a teenage girl. Tsk, tsk.
