Q: I am helping a friend plan her wedding. She was interested in having the ceremony in a park in Huntington. Do you know how we go about doing this. Are permits needed?
A: JB, permits are generally required to get married in a Long Island park or beach. All towns have their own policies on this, so your best bet is to contact Huntington Town Hall at (631) 351-3014 and ask for their Parks Department to inquire about this.
