A national survey by The Knot shows some interesting wedding trends: in 2008, couple were engaged for an average of 15.7 months — more than 25% longer — than in 2007. Also, casual weddings are in; in 2008 only 20% of weddings were formal or black tie. In addition, almost all brides — 93% — chose documentary style photographers for their weddings.
